Upgrading and expansion of an existing municipal wastewater treatment works serving the town of Pietermaritzburg, owned and operated by Umgeni Water. The project involved increasing the treatment capacity from 65 megalitres per day to 120 megalitres per day and included extensive civil, building, mechanical, and electrical works.
