The proposed site is located at 368A Main Road, Observatory, conveniently positioned within 500m of the UCT Medical Campus, Grootte Schuur Hospital, as well as the Observatory station for the Jammie Shuttle (the official transport system of the University of Cape Town). The target student of the proposed housing development would thus be UCT Medical students, but with the UCT Main campus only 2 km away, it is still convenient for students of all other faculties.

A 563-bed new student accommodation building comprising 8 floors above Ground is proposed as addition to an existing building of heritage value. The existing is to be repurposed as communal spaces, café open to the public and supporting retail space.
