The South African Reserve Bank(SARB) appointed a contractor to assist with the turnkey of the upgrade of the existing Sewer, Storm Water and Drainage System at the Head Office in Pretoria,

The project included: The removal of existing Sewer, Storm Water and Drainage system and the installation of new network to service the entire building. The scope also included the installation of new fittings, waste sewer and vent pipe.

MMQS Consultancy’s role was to provide the Bank with support on the following:

• Remeasurable Works
• Monitoring costs and reporting to Bank during the construction of the Back-up Power Plant
• Attending project progress meetings
• Determining final costs of project (including verification of interim payments for work executed)
• Acting as the Bank’s representative in relation to QS issues of the project, including inputs to contracts.
